Sepsis

For - 5th Year Medical Students

Delivered by - FY1 doctors and above

This is an interactive, multi-modal workshop for final year medical students. The tutorial encompasses the pathophysiology of sepsis, recognising the stages of sepsis and the practicalities of implementing the Sepsis Six bundle. Modalities include case-based discussion, X-ray interpretation, discussion of blood culture technique and practical prescribing of oxygen, intravenous fluids and antimicrobials.
