Introductory Level, Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3 certification is valid for 5 years post completion. To maintain your ‘Clinical Educator’ recognition and obtain a certificate of revalidation as a clinical educator, you must complete ‘Clinical Educator Revalidation’ every 5 years.
To complete Clinical Educator Programme revalidation you need to:
- Attend the SEFCE Symposium or equivalent
- Have another teaching observation and feedback session
- Attendance at an update session on your educational role
(e.g. Faculty Development for Year Directors, Faculty Development for Module
Organisers, Faculty Development for Theme Heads, Regional Educational Supervision
update session) or a CEP workshop of your choice
You should also be collecting evidence of educational activity and quality in SOAR on an ongoing basis.
