Welcome to the project page for Transit, a University of Edinburgh tool for supporting students transitioning to university. This page contains poster presentations and conference slides for Transit, along with a developing set of guidance notes.

Transit is an open source tool developed using free software. There are no costs attached to using any of these materials.

Please contact us ([email protected]) if you have any questions. We are currently looking for partners to trial the transit system to ensure it works as well as possible. There is no cost attached to this service. We can offer support with all aspects of data scouting, reformatting, and analysis, as well as providing guidance on running interventions. Participating institutions will receive credit and contribute to publications.

See the download links for more information on identifying data sources and preparing your computer for using the Transit script. Guidance notes on running interventions are currently being revised in a project supported by the Higher Education Academy and will appear shortly.
