MSc Clinical Education

MSc in Clinical Education

The MSc in Clinical Education is for all health care professionals involved in teaching and delivering training, including doctors, nurses, dental practitioners, other professions allied to medicine and those involved with veterinary education.  This extends to basic or social scientists who teach in medical, nursing, veterinary or other healthcare education.

The programme is entirely online and almost all current students continue to practise as full-time clinicians at the same time.

The first two years consist of three 10-week courses with one or more online lectures and one live tutorial per week, then a written assignment at the end.  The third year consists of a research project and dissertation.  The programme is modular, so participants can do one (Certificate), two (Diploma) or three (Masters) years.  We estimate it will take approximately 10-15 hours per week, on average, with study time intensifying prior to submission of assignments.

Participation by clinically qualified professionals from any country is welcomed, subject to a suitable primary qualification and a sufficient proficiency in English.
